Brooks Frederick is an Adjunct Professor of Drawing and Painting at Adelphi University, Long Island. Frederick is an integral part of the High School Outreach program at Adelphi, and has many years of experience in developing young talent.

He is also a part-time drawing teacher at New Orleans Academy of Art.
Frederick has an M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art. He studied with the artist Michael Aviano, at the Harlem Studio School in Manhattan, and also with Joanette and Cedric Egeli in Maryland.
