Anne Gunthner graduated from the University of North Texas with a major in Fashion Design and a minor in Art. She then went on to study fashion and general illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Anne worked for many years in retail advertising as both a layout artist and art director for newspaper and catalogs.

Gunther continues to pursue her fine arts passion through teaching, workshops and class studies. She works with various mediums including pastel, watercolor and oil. Gunthner is a member of The Huntington Arts Council and an associate member of The Pastel Society of America. The Catherine Lorillard Wolf Art Club and the Allied Artists of America. She has exhibited her work at numerous local Long Island venues as well as the above mentioned art clubs in New York City.
