A class in object studies and Master copying in water-based media.
In Object Studies in Watercolor, Ink ,Gouache and Oils for Teens and Adults the instructor will teach students in the basics of watercolor, ink, gouache, and oils along with the usage some drawing materials. The subject matter for this class will be either objects of personal interest brought in by the students (florals, still life objects, etc), or copying watercolors by historical masters of the medium, like John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer and William Turner.
Weather permitting, Tulis may take students outside to do landscape and architecture studies around Oyster Bay. Extra credit if students bring in taxidermies of insects as objects of study, as the instructor has fondness for them.
This is a terrific class for creating work for a portfolio for college.
